Wage & Hour

Welch Consulting expertise with analysis of wage & hour claims spans from the analysis of classification and exemption issues, allegations of off-the-clock work and non-payment of overtime, to travel reimbursements, expense reporting and meal and rest break violations. Our economists are retained regularly on matters brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state-specific statutes. Our broad expertise with wage and hour matters extends to all types of claims made under the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) as well as other regulations specific to California. In addition, our experts perform compliance audits of company data in order to identify possible violations, assess the extent of exposure and isolate the origin of the violations (e.g. a particular location or supervisor).

Often wage and hour issues such as these require management of a wide array of records, including time clock, point of sale and payroll data. Our state-of-the-art networked computing facilities in combination with our experience managing large databases allow us to quickly and accurately analyze data of any size and scope. Where existing data is not available, Welch Consulting has experience designing survey questionnaires and developing sampling strategies in order to develop accurate and reliable information for analysis. Welch Consulting possesses the extensive resources and the depth of experience required to accurately analyze data and testify credibly on any wage and hour issue.
