Welch Consulting was retained by attorneys representing a large national home improvement retailer to conduct a nationwide audit of its retail operations. Our analysis and comprehensive reporting focused on hiring, assignment, compensation, promotions, training and terminations. Our economists analyzed each practice with regard to race and ethnic, gender and age based protected group status. The analysis was initiated across time and at each level of the company; from individual departments to stores, districts, regional and nationwide aggregations.
Welch Consulting economists were retained to conduct an analysis of possible compensation differences on the basis of gender among faculty members at a nationally recognized medical school. Our economists met with faculty members, utilized available data to construct compensation models under different approaches, and submitted a report of findings to the university.
