Welch Consulting experts are routinely asked to calculate exposure for damages as part of an analysis of discrimination or wage and hour claims. Our careful approach involves assessing the unique features of the issue in question (whether, for example, overtime hours, meal break penalties, failure to hire or failure to promote) and applying a suitable methodology to valuing exposure for economic damages.
With regard to economic damages in business disputes, Welch economists calculate lost profits due to unfair or fraudulent business practices, intellectual property claims, unfair competition, breach of contract, business interruption and damage to reputation. In consumer class action matters Welch Consulting provides estimates of damages in the context of disputes between consumers and businesses.
