Stephen G. Bronars is a Senior Economist in the Washington, DC office of Welch Consulting. Dr. Bronars consults regularly on cases requiring statistical and economic analysis of gender, race, and age discrimination claims. Dr. Bronars has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago. He is the Leroy G. Denman Jr., Regents Professor of Economics at the University of Texas at Austin and formerly was Chair of the Economics Department there.
Dr. Bronars has taught courses in labor economics, microeconomics, statistics, and public policy at the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, the University of California-Santa Barbara, Yale University, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His research, which has focused on empirical labor economics, has been published in numerous professional journals including the American Economic Review, Econometrica, the Journal of Political Economy, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Econometrics, and the Journal of Labor Economics.
