Jora B. Stixrud is an Economist in Welch Consulting’s Washington, DC office. Since joining Welch, Dr. Stixrud has assisted with gender discrimination cases and wage/hours claims.
Dr. Stixrud received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago, where she specialized in Applied Microeconomics, Labor Economics/Human Capital, and Applied Econometrics. She worked as a research assistant, and served as a teaching assistant for graduate and undergraduate courses in econometrics and empirical labor economics at the University of Chicago. Dr. Stixrud’s research studies the effects of skills developed at young ages on adult labor market and behavioral outcomes, as well as changes in the quality of U.S. school teachers over the past 40 years.
